Why use Casualty Role Players (CRPs)?
HDS CRPs and Actors will assist by providing realistic training aimed at purposefully strengthening security and resilience through systematic preparation for threats that pose the greatest risk to the security of the nation.
CRPs will provide realism for Emergency responders who will exercise search and rescue, medical trauma treatment, and first aid application in order to expand and strengthen communication, coordination, and integration. This is why CRPs will be moulaged (application of injury makeup and fake blood) to portray various physical and emotional injuries and conditions before going through simulated medical triage and decontamination processes multiple times during the exercise.
The use of role players, moulage, and mannequins at exercise venues adds to the realism and training value of the exercise and creates realistic conditions and environments so individuals gain valuable experience and expertise while working on a simulated "real world" structure collapse site. What is a Structure Collapse Venue Site (SCVS) you ask? An SCVS is a location where one or more Structure Collapse Simulators (SCS) are used to simulate the collapsed state of buildings due to a natural disaster or a domestic terrorism event. Training sites and scenarios are developed to create venues, which provide strategic and tactical skills challenges of such complexity that repetitiveness does not breed familiarity with the training props and/or lanes.
HDS seeks diversity among our CRPs, including gender, ethnicity, age, body types, disabilities, and foreign language abilities. Participants fluent in American Sign Language are also desired. Priority will be given to those with previous experience with role-playing, acting, military, and/or first responder/disaster response experience. Those who have participated in past disaster preparedness exercises have found it especially rewarding because you get to support an important community service that saves lives and protects the citizens of your state while getting paid to have FUN while doing so.
All personnel must have appropriate IDs and be without a criminal background. All IDs are scanned by security personnel, and persons with felony convictions will not be allowed to participate.

it took me about 30 years to adopt and own this worldview; that I firmly believe there is enough money floating around in this world for all of us.
someone with a mathematical or financial background would look at my life over the past 30 years and wonder how I lived literally paycheck to paycheck through it all, got married, had a huge wedding, had two kids within the first two years, witnessed and survived 9/11, relocated a huge printing company from NJ to FL over the 10 day Christmas and New Year’s vacation of 2001/02, became a homeowner for nearly 20 years, lost that house during the financial crisis of 2010/11, still with my wife for those same 30 years, and raised 2 gorgeous, smart, and based young men that are still living with me - cuz they want to.
